Fi-Foil Reflective Insulation
Reflective insulation for concrete block exterior walls, made for the South Florida sun.
Bounce the heat back outside
Most South Florida homes have concrete block exterior walls. All day the sun heats that block, and the heat radiates into your home.
Fi-Foil reflective insulation goes on the inside of those walls, between the furring strips. It reflects radiant heat back out, so your walls stay cooler and your AC works less. On a recent job we installed R-4.1 Fi-Foil on the exterior walls.
- Designed for concrete block (CBS) walls
- Reflects radiant heat
- Thin profile behind drywall
- Great for new construction and remodels
- Pairs with batts in garages and attics

Common questions
What is Fi-Foil?
Fi-Foil is a reflective insulation made for masonry walls. It's installed between furring strips on the inside of concrete block walls and reflects radiant heat back out.
Why use it on block walls?
Concrete block soaks up the sun and radiates heat inward. A reflective layer with an air space slows that heat before it reaches your drywall.
Is it used in new construction?
Yes. It's common on South Florida block homes and is usually installed before drywall goes up.
